they looked proper strange, I swear
they looked like they were from another world

she: beside him with a definitive bump
she kept stroking it, her unborn
her frizzy black hair swayed wildly
in the background
and she didn't wait for the green man
no, she crossed the road without him

and he was in too much of a daze to realise
until she called him from the other side
